Q1: How do I request for training to be developed for my department?

A: If you are a Manager/Team Leader/Supervisor and would like a program tailored and delivered to your staff as a group, please contact L&D Manager – Mmasechaba. We will schedule a kick-off meeting to start the process.

 

Q2: Can I access the LMS from home or on a mobile device?

A: Yes, you can access the LMS from home on your laptop or mobile device. The LMS has responsive responsive design that adapts to the size of your device's browser.

 

Q3: What should I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

A: Click on “forgot password” button and follow the prompts to validate your account to be granted access again.

 

Q4: Can I learn during working hours?

A: Yes, the LMS is available to support learning on and off work. However, it is important to balance work deliverables and learning. To prevent disturbances, it is advisable that you inform your supervisor/manager and that you are completing an online course

 

Q5: When and how do I book myself for training?

A: You can now book for training on the LMS by clicking on the course (course library) or via My PDP.The booking must be submitted for approval to your manager prior to the workshop.

NB! Line Managers approval should be received by the Learning and Development team at least 10 days prior to the commencement of the workshop

 

Q6: What training programmes/courses are offered and when?

A: There are various courses available online and face to face (Workshop). New online courses are added and constantly updated, so please check on a regularly on the LMS (course library).
A training plan is made available for all workshops running monthly. View on landing page under “News and updates”

 

Q7: If interrupted, should I start the module over again?

A: The training is self-paced. You can start and leave the module as often as you’d like. When you return, the module will open to the last page visited

 

Q8: What if I am called away from the computer and don’t log out?

A: The programme will automatically log you out after 10 minutes of inactivity. You can log back in later and resume where you left off .

 

Q9: How do I prove that I completed the online course?

A: After completing an online module and an assessment, you will have the option of printing a certificate of completion for your records. The status of the course will also change once completed.

 

Q10: How do I cancel my training booking?

A: On the LMS or you can send an email HC-Helpdesk@randmutual.co.za with your request and reason.

 

Q11: Can I schedule one-on-one coaching?

A: If you feel you would benefit from one-on-one coaching, L & D will do our best to accommodate you. You can send an email HC-Helpdesk@randmutual.co.za with your request and reason.

 

Q12: Can I redo an online course if I would like to improve my marks?

A: Yes you can.
